Couples retreat worth the splurge

I can't express how great it was when the staff helped my sick mother with ice packs and bags of ice, really went above and beyond. the atmosphere in the dining room is transformed, much better than last decade, clean and inviting with the food being freshly made and simply delicious.

It wasn’t cheap, but it was worth every penny.

The spacious room featured a smart TV and decent tea facilities, providing a comfortable stay. Breakfast exceeded expectations, particularly the generous vegetarian options, which highlight the focus on quality. The property itself exudes character, situated in a tranquil environment perfect for relaxation. minor issues with service efficiency and cleanliness were noted, though they seem to be actively addressed by the management.

I enjoyed a lovely view of the broad from my room, and the splendid bathroom was a nice touch. The garden area and the leisure room offered great spots to unwind after a long day. The mattress could use an upgrade since it felt a bit worn out, but overall, it was a solid stay! 😊

the restaurant was great with beautifull food. breakfast and dinner were awesome. the room was really nice and comfy and the staff were super nice. also, it's in a good spot to get to norwich easily. loved the lovely outside terrace too!

but the noise at night was a bit much, couldn't sleep well because of it. also the bathroom could have been a bit bigger.

The meals offered were consistently good and the staff were attentive throughout our visit. the noise from downstairs at night made it somewhat difficult to sleep well. it's a great spot for a laid-back trip with good access to local attractions.

Great food and clean room, but Wi-Fi was spotty at times.

We had an awesome time staying here with friends! The cycling to the broads and exploring the local pubs was a blast. The room was cozy, and the atmosphere was perfect for our group. The staff was friendly and always ready to help. Definitely recommend for a laid-back vacation!

One issue we faced was the Wi-Fi, which was a bit slow at times, making it hard to connect when we needed it.

Our stay at The Lodge At Salhouse was fantastic! The King Room had a lovely armchair in the corner that was perfect for relaxing with a book. The meals were consistently good and the real ale selection was impressive. The staff were friendly and attentive, which made our visit even more enjoyable.

We loved the lovely patio area for enjoying drinks and the cozy yet clean room. It felt like a vacation spot! This place ticks all the right boxes for a chill getaway!

The king room was beautifully decorated and incredibly clean, offering a lovely view of the patio that felt bright and airy. Breakfast featured superb local organic products, enhancing the experience. While there was minor noise from evening guests, the overall ambiance and attentive staff made up for it, providing excellent service throughout our stay.

the lodge has stunning grounds and lovely decor everywhere. our standard double room was clean and comfy. the staff are amazing, always ready to help without being overbearing. We really enjoyed the food in the restaurant. it was delicious and freshly cooked. a special touch was the celebration plate for my husband’s birthday!
